SPOT-LX is based on a technology powered by LXRepair – spin-off of the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission). This outstanding technology addresses the need to understand and characterize the DNA Repair network, a major cellular defence mechanisms against DNA damage. SPOT-LX assay allows defining a DNA Repair Enzyme Signature that quantify the functionality of various DNA Repair Enzymes.

DNA Repair enzymes contained in a biological sample react with series of lesion-containing DNA on a biochip. The repair reaction occurring at each lesion site is measured by fluorescence analysis.

Bertin Bioreagent offers pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies a tool for characterizing mechanisms of action of their molecules including the stages of research and clinical studies with an assay ready for use: the range of SPOT-LX assay kit.

Applications also include study of ageing, neurological diseases, oxidative stress, inflammation and exposure to genotoxics to identify specific biomarkers related to DNA Repair.

This DNA Repair Assay kit is based on multiplexed in vitro patented technologies (CEA and UJF under license) that measure DNA repair in micro-holder.
